80s Italian turquoise leather

A thin leather jacket from Italy in the 80s.

It features a truly beautiful turquoise green.

The leather, embossed with a faint crocodile-like pattern,

has faded in various places through loving use. It’s colored leather that has aged like denim.

Combined with that uneven tone, it captures an air of European youth street style.

The leather is soft and thin, making it a perfect material for spring.

Though thin, it is durable and elegant, having been tanned to be supple.

This uses VERA PELLE, a traditional Italian leather processing method,

which utilizes long-standing, environmentally-friendly techniques without using any synthetic fibers.

By tanning the hide for at least 40 days using tannins derived from plants,

it achieves this unique, soft, and durable quality.

From there, it goes through further processes like snake and crocodile embossing.

Then, the dyeing process... it’s an immense amount of work to produce just one piece of fabric.

The more you learn, the more you can feel Italy's relentless pursuit of textile excellence.

Because it is a blouson made with this VERA PELLE leather,

it offers a light, comfortable fit that sheds the heavy image typically associated with "leather jackets."

You can wear it as casually as a hoodie or a light jacket.

The raglan sleeves allow the shoulders to drape beautifully on whoever wears it, making it an excellent unisex jacket.

Due to the design, there is some inconspicuous staining on the sleeves, and a tear on the inside that is not visible when worn.
