80s leather and fur panel jacket

A favorite jacket I found in Berlin.

The combination of leather and acrylic fur is so cool.

The deep green of the acrylic fur pairs perfectly with the black leather.

The volume of the fur around the collar is also quite bold and looks great.

Is this perhaps a take on a US vintage grizzly jacket?

With a leather body and fur on the collar and front panels, it's known as a "bear jacket" due to its appearance.

It's an insanely cool sports jacket,

and this design has been beautifully modified into a compact single-breasted jacket for women.

Regardless, it is wonderfully stylish.

The length is cropped, so it’s a great winter date outfit that lets you show a little skin even in cold weather. Haha.

There's no tag, and at first, I thought it might be handmade,

but based on the quality of the leather and fur, and the way they've been tailored together, it might be a prototype from a furrier (it has a tag in German with a name like "Pelz" on it).

In any case, it’s a mysterious and cool piece from the 80s.

I'm wearing it over a high-gauge cotton turtleneck.
