A rider's jacket from Germany, circa the 80s.
The size and leather quality are both outstanding.
It's labeled size 54, and I'm wearing it here with a short-sleeved (light-ounce) sweatshirt underneath.
I felt that even with a hoodie or knit underneath, it could be worn without any stress.
Plus, the shape is truly great. And the leather is soft and easy to wear...
It's truly an ideal rider's jacket. It's not heavy. Well, it's not exactly light, either. Haha.
However, there is one issue with the condition.
It's the pocket on the left cuff (shown in the photo where my white hand is inserted); the zipper pull is completely missing. The pocket itself functions perfectly fine without issues, but just the zipper pull is gone. Since it’s a pocket you don't typically use much in daily wear, and it still functions as a pocket without the zipper, it’s not a major issue, but those who are concerned may want to consult a repair shop.
There is also a small bit of damage below that pocket without the zipper, but please rest assured that this is not a problem. It can be fixed with hand stitching, and it’s an inevitable part of wear and tear...
The rest of the condition is exceptionally good. The condition of the lining is also wonderfully good.
The four pockets on the front are also normal, and all zippers move smoothly.
So, there is no problem with wearing it tough every day from here on out.
This is quite important for a rider's jacket.
It’s not a belt-type jacket, but rather features side adjusters, similar to the Lewis Leathers "Lightning" style, which is a shape I personally love because it is easy to wear.
I oiled it twice before it arrived, and while I think it will age naturally as you wear it, applying oil periodically will help maintain the beautiful black color and the quality of the leather, so I recommend oiling it occasionally.
Store-bought Nivea works amazingly well for this.
It's easy: just wipe off any surface dirt and then let the Nivea soak in.
I've written at length, but quite simply, this is a highly recommended leather jacket.
Just throw it on and head out.
