Here is a highly recommended piece from RIFLE, dating back to the 80s.
It is rarely easy to find denim this perfect, whether you look at the fading, the silhouette, or the size.

With that said, although I’ve introduced RIFLE pants a few times before, since I have the chance to share such a great pair of denim, I would like to take this opportunity to explain a bit more about the brand.
RIFLE is a long-standing denim brand from Italy. They became famous, particularly in the 80s, for denim and pants that interpreted American work and military styles through a European lens.
Behind this was the Paninaro culture that spread primarily through Milan at the time—a subculture of young people who loved a mix of American casual style and European luxury.
They were brand-conscious, and children from middle- to upper-class families flocked to authentic American brands like Levi's denim and Timberland boots as status symbols.
Among them, the Italian brand RIFLE was highly regarded because it reproduced that American feel with high quality, and it was deeply loved as a jeans brand that Italy could be proud of.
It was all about that mixed, effortless look—wearing a Moncler down jacket with RIFLE denim to dress it down, paired with Ray-Ban sunglasses, of course.
It wasn't just about being snobbish; that sense of balanced, lived-in style is incredibly appealing to us today.
We often have a similar sense of not going for a completely uniform look, but rather daring to "dress it down" with something unexpected, and I think it was these Italian Paninari who were the first to truly enjoy that.
This might have been a bit of a niche deep-dive, but while you see RIFLE quite often in Europe and even quietly lined up in Japanese vintage shops, it is actually a unique brand deeply connected to that culture.
Also, it’s very rare for this 80s denim to have this silhouette instead of a tapered one.
Of course, the vast majority of RIFLE denim from that era is tapered, but this pair has an exquisite silhouette that is straight—or perhaps even a little wider than a 501—which is truly fantastic.
As I mentioned at the beginning, it is not easy to find 80s RIFLE denim with this kind of shape and fading, even in Italy or elsewhere in Europe.
I got a little carried away. We are usually "Levi's worshipers," but I would be happy if you could also appreciate the charm of the Italian brand RIFLE. I believe this is a special pair!
