It is made of a thick, fluffy material with a crinkled, textured surface.
The all-white look is just wonderful, too. I have a soft spot for pure white and pitch black. Haha.
Features deep pockets on both hips.
The fit is just great, too.
It looked quite wide, but I was surprised when I put it on;
it feels like a perfectly sized work jumpsuit,
creating a three-dimensional silhouette that looks great worn straight as is.
I had intended to wear a belt with it, but ended up shooting it without one.
There are belt loops, so you can cinch the waist if you like.
It is unlined, but the fabric is thick enough that even black undergarments won't show through.
I released a light pink version of these same "ofuton jumpsuits" in the past, and this one is truly identical.
It feels like it’s from the same era, and it has that distinctively German approach to fabric.
It’s not as bulky as a ski suit, so it’s easy to layer an outer coat on top,
and I feel like it was designed with life in a rather cold region in mind.
Although it's thick, it's cotton, so it's by no means over-spec for Japan
and I think you'll be able to wear it a ton.
The brand, Marc Aurel—I felt like I had heard the name before, and realized
I had previously sold some incredibly cute wide sleep rib tops by them from a more recent collection.
The brand was founded in '72; this was my first time seeing their clothes from the 80s,
but they’ve been making super cute stuff for a long time.
The brand still exists today, and I feel they’ve always had a great handle on trends.
The quality is good, too. Their current items were also great—I can still recall the texture of the fabric. A brand to watch.
