A Barbour after a long time.
This is one of my favorite silhouettes—a hunting model launched in the 80s. It features a zippered game pocket on the back.
It’s longer than a Bedale but shorter than a Border, which makes it easy to wear and a model I personally love to use. What I always notice is that it looks cool no matter what trousers you pair it with; it works with skinny jeans, wide-leg pants, or even a pair of well-fitted 501s.
And above all, this particular piece is beat up. It’s been heavily used and repaired, yet the fabric is still going strong—if anything, it’s just hitting its stride, like a used car.
It’s at its best after it’s hit 100,000 kilometers, haha.
It’s in a very manageable condition with minimal smell or wax residue. It's excellent.
It’s a classic, trend-proof piece that I’m proud to recommend wearing again.
Just like the recent collaboration with CP, it’s also great to style it in a slightly unconventional, modern, or street-inspired way. With its many pockets, large capacity, and water resistance, it’s such a functional garment. I also recommend having women throw it on loosely for that effortless European look.
