Killer Berghaus.
We just got another Berghaus shell in stock, and this brand is seriously cool.
The look is outstanding, but the functionality is incredible and it's incredibly comfortable to wear.
It feels as comfortable as a conversation with an old friend.
The first thing I felt when I put this on was that I never wanted to take it off. Haha
It's so lightweight and warm. It’s from what was the Extreme line (their top-tier range) at the time, and the Polarguard mentioned on the care tag is a high-insulation synthetic filler—to put it simply, it's like a Patagonia DAS Parka. Apparently, it was marketed for serious alpine use rather than street wear.
Also, from what I've researched, Polarguard stays warm even when wet, is easier to maintain than down, and is highly resistant to compression—it's totally a DAS. Haha
Prague winters are quite cold, so I frequently wear synthetic-filled gear from outdoor brands like this; it's honestly warm, lightweight, and the best.
And what makes me happiest this time is the design and the condition.
I was going to wash it the other day, and when I opened the zippered pocket on the chest, I found a built-in stuff sack, which made me so happy. Haha
