It features a Gore-Tex shell and a detachable down inner liner.
The front zips on, allowing you to wear the shell and the inner down jacket independently. The sleeves of the down jacket are also detachable, giving you four ways to enjoy this one piece.
What’s more, the inner down isn't just a liner—it's a high-quality down jacket in its own right, complete with two front pockets and one inside pocket. It's way more than just a liner, haha.
You can see a bit of down peeking through, but it’s still packed nice and full, so it's in a condition you’ll be able to love and use for a long time.
The design and color scheme of the Gore-Tex shell are also impeccable...
In early spring, just throw the shell on over everything. It’s light and perfect.
The material also has that high-quality "swishy" texture.
As for the brand, it’s one of my personal favorites; they make a lot of simple, cool items. They’re primarily a down manufacturer, and whenever I come across them, the quality and design are consistently top-notch.
I don't find them often, but this piece is one I've been longing for.
It seems they started as a down bedding manufacturer in '64, and were the first to produce and sell down jackets in Italy back in '76.
Since then, their high level of functionality has made them a favorite among Himalayan expeditions and many alpinists.
No wonder it’s such an amazing down jacket—the backstory explains it all, haha.
The shell’s hood is stowable, and it looks cool even when worn out.
Most hoods of this type don't look great when left out, but this one looks stylish either way.
You can tell it’s a good manufacturer from the fine details.
