90s ENERGIE CANVAS SMOCK

ENERGIE was born in Italy in 1989. This manufacturer creates a lot of interesting pieces.

Based on information I looked up a while back, ENERGIE is a brand launched in 1989 by the Sixty clothing group, which also houses several other brands.

It seems the first ENERGIE store started as a street-level shop on a road in an Italian town—I forget which one.

From there, it seems to have exploded in popularity among Italian men in the 90s.

Brands in a similar vein would be the easily recognizable ones like Stone Island, CP Company, or Ciao, and I think this brand is every bit as good as them.

This particular piece has everything I love—you look at it and just know it’s cool, right? Haha.

The canvas cotton outer shell has been worn in perfectly, becoming soft and starting to show a nice fade. I love this condition. Haha.

For what it's worth, I have thoroughly washed it at home once.

The front pockets are large and easy to use, and you can tell from the stitching that the designer was a fan of American vintage items.

This is a manufacturer that often makes clothing where you can feel that kind of influence.

In fact, the founder apparently imported brands like Timberland and Levi's from America early on. Such a savvy move! Haha.

The lining is nylon quilting with padding that isn't too thick.

I wore it during the photo shoot, and it's quite warm.

Since the exterior is canvas, I appreciate this amount of padding.
