1980s Katharine Hamnett cotton tapered trousers.
I seem to have had quite a connection with Katharine Hamnett lately.
It’s rare to come across them here in Eastern Europe, but this was a lucky find in Germany.
Judging by the blue-navy hue and the side buttons, perhaps it’s a work-wear sample?
The material is a high-density cotton with just the right amount of thickness and firmness—
if I had to describe it, it feels like light moleskin.
The slightly brushed lining really does feel like moleskin, too.
It’s a fabric texture that's hard to describe any other way.
I felt it with the tapered trousers I introduced last time, too:
the way they look when worn, as if they're filled with air, is truly beautiful.
Even when hanging on a hanger, they don't look flat;
I think this pattern that creates such volume is truly magnificent.
The silhouette—bulky around the thighs and then tapering sharply—gives such a cool, solid lower-body look. Masculine in the best way. Drool. lol
Large back pockets that sit flat against the seat,
a coin pocket with an even smaller round-stitched pocket inside it—
I love the subtle, playful touches from the designer scattered throughout.

Oh, and the waist is W28-29, so slim men should definitely go for it too.
