90s Lauren hunting jacket

A cotton hunting jacket from Lauren in the 90s.

This is an absolute favorite of mine.

It’s so rare to find Lauren like this in Europe; I just love this line.

90s Lauren pieces have great fabric, and I find many of them to be clean and timeless, fitting our current aesthetic perfectly.

This hunting jacket is a Beaufort style—or rather, practically identical to one. It seems Lauren was paying homage to heritage brands like Barbour and Filson back then.

The material isn't oiled, but it’s a high-gauge cotton that gives off a similar vibe. It has the kind of texture that will develop a nice patina as you wear it. It’s ideal for those who aren’t fond of waxed jackets.

The corduroy collar and plaid lining are also super cute.

The pockets have plenty of capacity, and the security pocket hidden behind the front placket—just like on a Beaufort—is a huge plus. The fact that it’s large enough for a passport is really great; I’d recommend this to anyone traveling abroad.

The game pocket on the back is also there. I always forget my eco-bag, so I’d want to keep one in there at all times. My thinking is getting a bit "old lady," isn't it?

Hunting jackets exploded in popularity, especially for women, over the last year or so, but this isn't just a fleeting trend—it’s an endlessly timeless piece, so you should definitely own a good one. Well, I wear mine all the time. Haha.

It’s labeled as a women’s size L, but it definitely fits like an XL or larger. I recommend this as a unisex piece.

The color is a bit difficult to capture in photos; it might look close to brown, but in reality, it’s a very deep, dark khaki. I’ve included photos that are closer to the actual color in the last three images.
