This piece is just cool at a glance.
It has the weight of something between a jacket and a shirt.
It's so versatile, I love it.
And the material—I didn't know what it was until I saw the tag, but it’s 100% nylon.
I was surprised, because I thought it was cotton-nylon!
It’s that high-quality kind of nylon; not flimsy at all, but rather a somewhat light material that feels quite soft yet durable. I find this a lot when looking at various items, but vintage nylon is generally of high quality.
There are exceptions, of course!!
This garment has plenty of other great features, too.
First, the stylish repair—a part of the chest pocket has been repaired with a leather patch.
It’s a detail I really love, and it’s hand-stitched, so it’s quite sturdy. Haha.
This must have been a lot of work. Haha. It looks tricky given the gusseted pocket in that position.
Either way, you can tell it was well-loved. Haha.
Also, the length is adjustable via a zipper that goes all the way around, and the sleeves can be detached to turn it into a vest.
It has plenty of pockets, and the bottom-most waist pockets (when worn in the long configuration) can also be accessed from the side.
Personally, that’s a detail that really boosts my rating. Haha.
This is getting long, but it’s hard to find vintage multi-pocket items this good, and it’s just plain cool, so I highly recommend it.
