This is a piece of clothing I wanted to release last spring, but I missed the timing.
A 90s North Face Gore-Tex jacket. I love this colorway.
We’ve been wearing North Face pieces from this same era since we were in Japan, and it’s one of the few brands that I truly respect.
Above all, it’s tough, functional, and uses great fabric. And more than anything, the design is cool.
When I was younger, I thought North Face was a bit flashy, but as I’ve gotten older, I’ve become more drawn to it.
Now, I’m a huge fan.
What I personally value most is its durability. It’s just incredibly tough.
I always bring it along on buying trips. European buying trips are quite demanding, with a lot of walking around all day, and except during the summer, the weather is often bad. I’ve been wearing it for years in those conditions, and it always hangs in my closet looking like it’s never been through a thing. Haha.
It has plenty of pockets, and since they all have zippers—including the ones inside—it’s very secure.
I believe the black string attached above the tag on this jacket was added by the previous owner.
This is genuinely useful when you go out to eat. Haha.
It looks great thrown over a thin inner layer for the coming season.
Looking back, it’s a shell I wear pretty much all the time except for summer.
