A 90s Saint Laurent balmacaan coat.
Rather than beige, it’s a perfectly nuanced light ice gray—not too dark—and is my absolute favorite tone for a coat of this type.
It pairs beautifully with the yellow-accented check lining, giving the coat a classic yet modern feel.
It is crafted from a tough cotton-poly twill fabric, similar to that used in Burberry or Aquascutum coats.
It is windproof and water-repellent, and with a wool knit layered underneath, it has the potential to serve as a perfectly adequate mid-winter outer layer.

The fabric has enough structure to create a sculptural silhouette,
but thanks to the raglan sleeve design, it drapes smoothly and neatly around the shoulders.
It’s very easy to wear now, but I believe it’s the kind of coat that will conform to your body and suit you better the more you wear it.
