Vintage sterling silver 925
A bangle with a crisscross arrow design.
It is stamped with a 925 hallmark from Taxco, Mexico, the world's largest silver-producing region.
I had actually seen a bangle with this design before,
and it's a model I have always wanted to find.
Being able to find this in Mexican silver
makes this piece personally very special to me.
The thick, rounded silver
captures that sense of South American strength typical of Taxco jewelry.
Despite its delicate design, it has an outstanding presence.
The bangle is adjustable, so
please squeeze it to fit your wrist when wearing.
This also makes it easy to wear over clothing, like a jacket.
I encountered this piece in Paris, France, but
having seen silver from many countries like Germany and Italy,
I feel that Mexican silver is truly overwhelmingly cool.
And it is becoming increasingly scarce.
While tastes vary,
I personally believe that for designs this simple yet impactful,
nothing beats the bold craftsmanship unique to Taxco, home to the world's most abundant silver.
Though, for delicate filigree work, that might be a different story!
This has been a long description, but I highly recommend this one-of-a-kind vintage silver bangle.
It dates back to between the late 70s and early 80s, but
it is in excellent condition with no warping and almost no scratches.

How to care
If it starts to dull or tarnish, you can restore its shine by polishing it with a commercially available silver polish (also sold at 100-yen shops) and a soft cotton cloth.
