I have been eagerly awaiting the day this C.P. piece would arrive.

I managed to find two of these; I sold the other one at an event in Osaka last year.

I held onto this one for the shop's opening.

This is a series I am personally a huge fan of, and I regularly wear both this exact model and other variations from it.

I first encountered this C.P. series four years ago after moving to Europe, and as the title suggests, it is called "Urban Protection."

This is a piece from Moreno Ferrari, who served as C.P.'s designer from 1998 to 2001, following Massimo Osti's retirement.

While it’s hard to compare, I genuinely believe C.P. from this era is incredibly cool. Moreno's work has such an urban, minimalist aesthetic.

What makes this series so special is, above all, the fabric and the pockets.

First, there's the three-section front pocket. It has zippers and is designed to be concealed by Velcro, making you wonder, "Wait, are there pockets there?" (laughs).

In addition to that, there are two proper pockets at the waist, and a very large pocket on the inside.

A stowaway hood is built into the back of the collar, and it’s actually quite substantial. Often, hoods like this feel like an afterthought, but as expected from this brand, it’s a size you can actually wear (laughs).

The nylon fabric on the front is incredibly tough and easily protects you from wind and rain. It’s a shame you can’t feel it, but it truly is top-tier nylon.

The color is dark green, which is a fantastic shade.

It’s that exquisite, understated color that makes you wonder at first glance, "What color is this? Is it black? No, wait, what is it?"

Of the many pieces in the Urban Protection series, this one has a shorter length, which is why I personally love it so much.

It’s not heavy at all, it’s easy to move in, and I even wear it while driving. (laughs)

And above all, it’s warm, yet it doesn’t get too hot, which is another plus.

Finally, regarding the concept of this series: Moreno designed it at the time as protective gear against potential future disasters and air pollution, with the idea that you could survive just by having this jacket.

To think he designed clothes with that kind of vision!! (laughs)

But since I wear it all the time, I can see why. (laughs)

At the time, I bought it for my personal collection because I thought it was an incredibly cool jacket, and only later did I do the research and learn all of this.

Four years ago, it wasn't getting as much attention (as it does now) and was relatively easy to find, but lately, you just don't see them around. I suppose that's understandable—it's so beloved that no one wants to let it go. I'm one of those people; I would never part with the ones I own, and there really is no substitute for this jacket. (laughs)

As I mentioned earlier, I managed to acquire two of these, which is why I’m able to offer this one now.

At a glance, it might look like a plain piece of clothing, but it is undeniably a piece worth loving!!

It’s a tough garment, so I hope you wear it hard around town.
