The C.P. Urban Protection series is a collection I always make sure to bring out for special, celebratory occasions.
There are so many details to see that I've taken plenty of photos, so please take your time looking through them.
These are from Moreno Ferrari's 98-2001 collection, following Massimo's departure.
It's one of the series I personally love and wear myself.
We had one in stock for New Year's last year and it sold out immediately; I also brought it to the black-themed event in Osaka and the event at Shiro-shoten in Osaka last autumn.
This time, it's a new arrival—a half-coat length jacket with an integrated hood.
The nylon fabric on the front is incredibly tough and easily protects against wind and rain. It’s a shame you can't touch it, but it really is top-tier nylon.
The lining is fleece, making this a jacket that can handle even the biting cold of a Prague winter.
I love the construction of the front pockets and the large-capacity pockets on the inside.
The left side has three vertical levels, and the right side has two. It’s designed so you can’t immediately tell where the pockets are when viewed from the front—it’s wonderfully normcore and looks great.
As for the concept behind this series, it was designed by Moreno back then to protect the wearer from potential future disasters and air pollution; it seems the idea was that you could essentially live your life wearing this jacket.
It’s amazing what kind of thought he put into making clothes!
But since I wear it all the time, I totally get it. Haha.
It’s a very tough garment, so I want you to wear it roughly and beat it up; that’s what makes it look cool.
It looks understated at a glance, but once you put it on, you’re hooked. Haha.
