A knit dress by Norwegian fashion designer Badi Batchelor.
It is truly lovely. This design aesthetic is something you don't find in European or American pieces; I was very drawn to it.
The knit fabric × dress combination that is her specialty. The pairing of black with this exquisite blue is wonderful.
The gently flaring A-line silhouette is also charming. It is a dress that manages to be both cool and feminine.
The ribbon at the chest can be left hanging, tied in a standard bow, or worn tied behind the neck, which also looked lovely.
It is a size 38, which is about an S-M. While it looks tight, the soft, slightly stretchy knit material makes it comfortable with plenty of room! It has a sheer, cool quality, so it will be fun to wear on its own in the summer.
Badi is a designer who has been active since the 60s,
and her work is exhibited at the National Museum of Norway and the Textile Industry Museum.
