High-quality black linen. It’s great that it’s actually black rather than indigo. But that charcoal-like color, not quite pitch black, is unique to linen dyeing. You just don't see this.
I was also moved by the fit when putting it on, and the texture of the fabric, which reminds me of vintage indigo linen that catches the eye. Please take a look at the third photo for a clearer view.
The design is also unique; with its large pockets and button-front like a jacket, yet a cropped length and cuffs like a blouse, it strikes an exquisite balance between a shirt and a jacket.
The sophisticated mandarin collar is nice, too. Closing it all the way gives it a slight Chinese-inspired vibe. The linen fabric and button work have a French workwear feel as well... it really piqued my interest.
A piece that is understated and casual, yet special. I’m in love. I want to be the kind of cool older woman who wears something like this.
