The shapes were formed with white thread and then sewn on. I don’t think this is work that could be done by a machine.
It even has detailed embellishments on the cuffs, which made my heart flutter.
The way the embroidery is applied also gives it a western shirt-like vibe.
Elegant shell buttons are used throughout.
The gathered waist and the way the hem flares out softly are also lovely.
The material is high-quality viscose produced in India.
It has a light, pleasant, skin-friendly texture like thin cotton, but with that smooth, silky feel unique to rayon added to the mix.
You might wonder, "France, but made in India?!"
Based on my observations, a lot of Indian-made clothing was circulating in France during the 80s and 90s,
so I suspect that France had these produced in India at the time.
Everything I come across of this type is truly high quality. I’ll look into it further.
It is a size S with a comfortably relaxed fit.
