This is a chunky ball chain necklace that takes that design and bulks it up.
Even the clasp is the same. It’s strangely nostalgic!
I was watching a video of The Offspring’s Woodstock performance yesterday,
and the vocalist, Dexter, was wearing the exact same thing,
though Dexter’s style is to wear it with the clasp in the front.
It was actually my first time watching their live footage, and the young Offspring were incredibly cool. Their singing and playing were just so good...
It’s a cool accessory that takes the cheap impression of a ball chain and flips it on its head—the same one that Dexter loved wearing on that big stage.
The craftsmanship is also excellent. Precisely because it’s so simple, the quality of each individual part really shows in the atmosphere and level of perfection it exudes.
In fact, the quality is so good that I initially bought it thinking it was silver. It has just the right amount of weight to it.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t sterling silver, so I’ve priced it a bit lower,
but the silver plating has no peeling or wear, and it feels smooth against the skin.
Even if the material isn’t genuine silver, I want to continue evaluating pieces based on their design and presence.
Real silver is great, of course, but I think this is incredibly cool regardless of that. Highly recommended.
