A pullover jacket from the British Army's modern masterpiece, the PCS (Personal Clothing System).
The lining is made of highly insulating microfleece, keeping you warm. Perhaps "not cold" is a more accurate way to describe it.
Developed for cold regions, the outer shell is made of highly water-repellent ripstop nylon.
It works well as an inner layer in midwinter, and as a single layer from now on.
I personally own one myself, and I find myself wearing it more in the spring than in the winter.
There is a hood tucked inside the collar, and there are three pockets on the front. These pockets are extremely convenient. They all use water-resistant zippers.
The center front pocket can be turned inside out to pack the jacket away, making it very portable. Additionally, there are zippers on both sides, making it easy to put on and take off.
Military gear really has a lot of money poured into it, doesn't it? (laughs)
It really shows the strength of a nation, I suppose. (laughs)
Four or five years ago, I saw these relatively often, but recently the opportunities to find them have decreased.
It's an item that has seen prices soar, and with the recent outdoor boom, I think it will be appreciated even more. For that reason, I highly recommend it.
