Based on the US Navy G-1, this jacket features a magnificent modification: a cotton outer shell, a detachable faux-fur collar, and a lining made of a wool and cashmere blend.

The worldview of Massimo Osti. C.P. Company pieces from his design era are truly incredible.

The cotton outer shell has a herringbone weave with a slight texture.

The high-quality cotton is smooth and soft, and even the buttons are superb.

The fur collar can be detached using snap buttons on the inside and buttons on the back of the collar.

The inner buttons are engraved with "CP 989 COMPANY".

This signifies 1989 and was a common button detail used during that period.

Also, the materials for the lining and collar are quite unique: a blend of 55% wool, 30% elastodiene, 10% cashmere, and 5% nylon.

This 30% elastodiene is a natural rubber fiber primarily used in sportswear. It is exceptionally soft, heat-resistant, and chemically stable. When blended with wool and cashmere, it provides incredible warmth and, I believe, enhances its functionality as an outer layer.

I felt this myself the moment I put it on.

By using this blend rather than a 100% wool lining, it is lighter, warmer, and has a wonderful silhouette when worn.

It is the ultimate lining: itch-free and stress-free.

The knit parts on the sleeves and hem have the weight and feel of vintage knitwear. It really is something else.

I write this every time I introduce a C.P. product, but the fabrics are just amazing.

I’m blown away every time. Haha.

The condition is excellent, and I am certain that as you wear it, the fading and the lived-in expression of the cotton outer will only look better.

In the Japanese climate, it’s perfect for winter with just a long-sleeve T-shirt underneath.

A piece you will rarely encounter, now or ever.

Beyond that, it is highly fashionable and just cool, no matter how you look at it.
