An archive piece from CP COMPANY, sampled from the duffle coats issued to the Royal Navy during World War II.
I believe this is from a collection dating back to the late 80s or around 1990-91.
The "CP Company Continuative Garment" label seen here was created to reflect Massimo Osti's vision of timeless clothing that transcends fashion trends—a way to identify continuous, staple models.
A representative example would be the CP COMPANY model known as the Goggle Jacket.

while this coat reproduces the details of a vintage British military duffle, the use of high-quality Lana wool gives it a great silhouette and a sophisticated feel. I have worn a vintage British military duffle before, and after trying on this CP piece, I found that the sizing and fabric have been modified to be much more wearable—and best of all, it’s not heavy at all, which is fantastic.
It’s crafted from a single layer of soft, rich, high-quality wool, so it provides decent warmth—I would classify it more as an outer layer for the upcoming early spring, early autumn, and through to mid-winter, rather than for the dead of winter.
Especially for the upcoming season, I think it would look incredibly cool just thrown over a shirt or a tee.
It’s a wonderful coat; I was surprised when I tried it on for the photoshoot.
It really is that good. Haha.
