The leather quality is incredibly supple and soft—it's lambskin.
I oiled it twice between purchasing it and getting it into the shop, so the texture has become even richer and nicer.
As I get older, I find myself liking brown leather more and more each year, especially this particular piece—it’s such an Italian-style leather jacket. Everything from the way the knit is used to the epaulets and the pockets just screams it. I can easily imagine wearing this over a hoodie with light-wash jeans and Adidas sneakers.
Even with this much aging, the condition is absolutely flawless; it speaks to the quality of the brand, but I’m sure the previous owner took great care of it, too.
Vintage pieces like this really get me excited.
