A piece I finally succeeded in purchasing.
During my recent trip to France, I jumped for joy over this one. lol
It’s a niche masterpiece: a BMW engineering jacket from the early 2000s.
The color in the worn photos is much closer to reality. It’s a nice, modern shade of beige.
Regarding the material, it’s made of 100% polyester for both the outer and lining, with padding inside. It’s the perfect amount—not too much, not too little. By the way, it’s quite warm.
Inside, there is
a SYMPATEX tag. This is what you might call the German version of Gore-Tex, developed in '86. It’s an incredibly good material that can handle rain and wind.
Think of it as Gore-Tex for the US, and Sympatex for Germany.
Since BMW is a German brand, I assume that's why they used this body.

Getting back to this one, the hidden pocket design is just superb.
There are two pockets at the waist and two inside. One of the interior pockets zips shut, which is also a great design feature—please take a look at the photos. It’s well thought out, truly living up to the "Engineering" name.
A highly collectible piece that I really recommend. An outerwear you'll love!!
