An incredibly cool pair from Stone Island, likely from the early 2000s.
Crafted from an extremely high-density woven cotton fabric; it makes a sound every time you walk.
I personally wear this series myself; I received a pair from my best friend about five years ago while I was still in Japan. The pattern is different, but the fabric is exactly the same.
On both my own pair and this one, the quality tag has faded due to friction, so I can't pinpoint the exact collection, but I suspect that several other patterns using this same fabric were launched during this period.
These pants are truly excellent. I also love how minimal the branding is.
The waist features a drawstring, and there are four pockets: two at the hips and two at the back.
The silhouette is a perfect straight cut, and the color is jet black.
The waist is a W34, but since it can be cinched down with the drawstring, those with smaller waists can wear them without any stress.
I believe this particular pair has been worn with great care; my own pair has developed significant surface wear and is starting to fade slightly.
The more you use and wash this fabric, the more character it develops.
Another thing I love is that I have truly never seen anyone else wearing this series, and they rarely show up on the market. That’s another thing that really draws me in.
Regardless, this is a pair I highly recommend. You can wear them in any season—they’re the best!
