Beautiful voluminous silhouette with generous gathers at the sleeves and collar.
I occasionally see this style of blouse in white canvas cotton or linen, but this is the first time I've ever seen one made in this fabric! It’s a beautiful, striking blue, like lapis lazuli.
The cotton has a lustrous, almost glossy finish, and the shirt fabric is light and not too thick.
It might be hard to tell from the photos, but while it has enough body to naturally maintain its shape, it’s not stiff at all and is incredibly comfortable to wear, without any of the discomfort often found in older blouses of this type.
The small floral pattern on the shoulders and collar is also lovely.
If you look closely, you can even see the care put into the way the front buttons are stitched.
It's a blouse that captures your heart the more you look at the subtle, intricate details.
I know it’s handmade and fairly old, but I don't know the exact era or country of origin.
I have priced it lower due to faint stains under the arms, but I don’t believe they are noticeable given the design.
Highly recommended.
