This is truly magnificent. It’s the best.
Honestly, these plump curb chains are quite common, but over 99% of them are costume jewelry made of base metal.
But this one is crafted from genuine 800 silver. That is absolutely incredible.
The way this chain swells, combined with the unique luster that only real 800 silver possesses,
goes beyond "chunky" or "chubby"—it’s almost succulent. It’s completely different from base metal.
For reference, please take a look at the chains from brands like Agatha that I have sourced from France in the past here.
I loved the comfort and impact of those and sourced them often,
but at the same time, I always thought to myself, "I wish these were real silver."
And finally, I found it. Needless to say, it’s my first time encountering this.
It’s the kind of piece you think would be easy to find, but it really isn’t.
Regardless of the material, I have never seen this chain design itself in pieces from other parts of Europe or America,
so I believe it can be called a piece of vintage silver jewelry unique to France.
The toggle design is almost identical to HERMES from the same era. It’s cool.
I occasionally see this design on other French silver from the same period, so I suspect it was a trend at the time,
and that it was used in high-class jewelry made by skilled silversmiths or workshops.

Despite its thick appearance, it’s surprisingly comfortable to wear—not too heavy, not too light.

I don't think I'll come across another one like this. If I do, I’ll want to keep it for myself. I probably will.
