60s French deadstock black cotton shorts.
The black cotton is a durable, crisp twill fabric.
The green stitching against the black looks so cool, and the stitch work on the pockets is especially superb.
The round rivets are also a lovely touch. They’re rusted, but that just adds to the charm.
It features a front button fly with a row of vintage black plastic workwear buttons.
This short length is very much in style right now. It's so rare to find vintage shorts that perfectly match the current mood.
The flasher is still attached to the seat, featuring an adorable cowboy illustration. I couldn't bear to throw this away. Haha.
It is marked "size 36" in pencil. The waist fits a W27-28.
When I bought these from a dealer's home in the Paris suburbs a few years ago, the back zipper worked, but
upon checking now, it has become stuck... It's a shame, but since the side pockets are quite deep, it shouldn't cause any inconvenience.
I figure it was just the fate of these things to happen eventually through washing, so I’ve made peace with it and am ready to wear them as is.
Truly, such stylish, old shorts—especially a women's pair from France—are so rare in many ways; they are one of my favorite pieces.
