It’s been a while since I’ve had vintage French brass jewelry.
I’ve decided to release two pieces I’ve been holding onto for a long time.
This is a slender chain bracelet with wonderful, intricate workmanship.
I’m captivated by the detailed engraving that looks like intertwined ropes, but
I was actually moved when I noticed that the parts get slightly larger from one end to the other.
It’s a nameless piece of jewelry that reminds me of a design with the same concept by Hermès.
The French really have impeccable taste, don’t they!
That’s always what I think when I come across pieces like this. Haha.
Even though I was born into a modern age overflowing with so many things,
I find myself inspired by the creations from decades before I was born, whether it’s clothing or accessories.
Or perhaps it’s precisely because I was born in this era that I find it so moving.
I’ve gotten a bit subjective here, but regardless, this is a vintage piece that is beautiful in every detail. The dealer says it’s likely from the 40s or 50s; there’s no doubt that it’s quite old.
The faded, brownish-brass color gives it a refined, understated presence on the wrist. Like burnished silver.
It appears that only the small jump ring connecting the clasp to the main body has been replaced.
I’ve priced it a bit lower because the clasp mechanism is slightly stiff. Hope you like it.
