French Shetland wool vest

Absolutely adorable.

A Shetland wool vest born in France.

A small, cute knit. One of my favorite items from European vintage.

It has a lovely script tag, and I love that it’s a manufacturer-made piece from around the 60s to early 70s rather than handmade.

I was so curious about the French designer Gerard Fortier that I looked him up,

and it turns out he made high-quality, wonderful knitwear, mostly for men.

I highly recommend this piece.
