A handmade bag I brought back from Paris.
Such a cute summer handbag.
It features lovely colored stripes, with orange and black accents.
The material feels like straw, but it might be synthetic—I’m not entirely sure.
The base is quite sturdy; it’s so firm that it makes a tapping sound when you knock on it.
The interior is PVC, so it cleaned up perfectly with a quick wipe.
The handles are sturdy, made from wood and rope.
The bamboo motif feels so quintessentially French; it really stole my heart.
It's likely wood carved to look like bamboo rather than real bamboo, and there's a hook with a fringe attached to that bamboo section.
It seems there might have been a button or something to secure it on the other side, but it’s missing;
even so, it’s just so adorable as a design element as is.
The bamboo is also carefully hand-stitched to the main body.
It has come loose in one spot, but it’s not an issue. Please see the final photo.
Otherwise, there are the slight imperfections that come with being handmade, but
all in all, it’s of wonderful quality—a one-of-a-kind piece that you won't see anyone else wearing.
It’s relatively heavy and large, so it will arrive in a large box. Please love it!
