A vintage French work shirt.
It is a long, pullover-style shirt with buttons like a grandpa shirt, but
please take a look at the red embroidery on the hidden placket. It is truly, truly adorable.

I imagine it was a work shirt (dress) for working women.
It is definitely quite old. Small details like the buttons, thread, and sewing make you feel the passage of time.
The stitching on the sleeves is just irresistible. There is something about the fine, point-sized stitches made one by one in old garments that I just can't get enough of. Haha.
The sleeves, finished with a raw edge rather than cuffs, are not too long and will fit petite individuals as well.
The material is thin, vintage pure cotton shirt fabric.
French antique cotton is truly high quality, and even being this thin and light, it is extremely durable.
I actually bought this in France this past April,
and I wore it for one day when the weather was incredibly nice;
the thin cotton let the breeze through, making it cool to wear. It is a dress that is comfortable from spring through autumn.
The size is good, the silhouette is beautiful—a flawless French piece.
