This is a hand-wound bangle-style wristwatch from the German maker Exquisit, encased in 835 silver.
Honestly, the design is just incredible. It is, by far, the best one we’ve ever had.
Everything from the dial to the hands is all-silver,
and I am absolutely obsessed with the futuristic look created by the rounded, curved forms of the bangle and case.
It feels like it captures the wave of 60s-70s space-age design, while still maintaining that solid, distinctly German character.
In short, it’s just perfect. I’ve really been wanting something with this kind of simple, uncluttered design!
The dial only features the brand name, and the second hand has a cool, subtle black line if you look closely.
Exquisit appears to be a German watchmaker, but details are scarce;
all I could find is that it’s occasionally handled by specialty vintage watch shops.
For modern manufacturers, creating a watch entirely out of pure silver is a high hurdle both technically and in terms of cost, so this is essentially a piece you can only find vintage.
While you still see watches from the 90s or 2000s with just a silver case (the dial area), the fact that the bangle itself is also made of silver is a testament to the technical prowess and abundant resources of the past.
Considering that famous makers would charge many times the price for stainless steel versions, I highly recommend the option of getting a vintage silver watch, keeping it properly overhauled, and using it for a long time.
