An antique hand-woven rug.

The fading is magnificent. It is truly impossible for this to happen within a single generation. Haha.

The character developed over many generations is wonderful.

Being about 100 years old, this look is thanks to the high-quality wool and the use of natural dyes.

I seem to remember seeing an article once that said rugs and wives are better when they're older. Haha.

That’s not the case for me, but whenever I think back on it,

most of the tribal, oriental, and kilim pieces I’ve picked up because I thought they were cool have been old.

In fact, we’ve been looking for a faded rug like this for a long time, and this is the first time we’ve found one.

The reality is that they are very hard to find, and many are just too dirty.

As for this rug, it is in good condition and still has plenty of life left. Even with heavy use, I think you could pass it down to your children. Haha.

We have washed and sun-dried it to make sure it is thoroughly maintained,

so as long as you don't get it excessively dirty, vacuuming should be all you need.

It’s rare to come across such a fantastic piece of "usable rag" style rug,

so I highly recommend it!!
