Handmade fabric scrap mat

A carpet hand-woven using fabric scraps and remnants from old clothes.

It features a unique color palette based on black, light blue, and red,

and is highly recommended as a wall hanging as well.

It's a great size, about the same as a door mat, making it suitable for any home.

I love the idea of repurposing excess old clothes in this way.

Moroccan Boucharouite rugs were also originally made by Berber women

who tore up their own clothes to weave rugs instead of using wool,

and lately, I've heard that schools in Ghana have students make them to generate income.

I purchased this rug in Germany, so

I am certain it is handmade in Europe.

Beyond its great look, this is an eco-friendly rug with a wonderful concept. I love it!
