A wonderful double-breasted trench coat from the 80s French women's clothing brand CAROLINE ROHMER.
This size, design, color, and condition are all so perfect that I honestly have nothing to add.
The deep khaki is an iridescent shade that gives off a subtle sheen depending on the light,
and it is made of a slightly textured, oiled-style material that is wind-resistant.
The color-matched fabric-covered buttons and the matching belt are also quite cool.
With its understated shoulder pleats and simple yoke,
it has a solid, sensible design with a silhouette that has absolutely no unwanted bulk or puffiness.
It has a wide body and a long length, so you can layer up and wear it comfortably all the way until the dead of winter.
Vintage trench coats made of synthetic materials like this
often suffer from severe degradation, making many of them unwearable.
However, they have a unique appeal that you just can't find in natural materials like cotton or wool.
