Wonderfully rich shorts from 80s Italy.
I was absolutely certain it was linen based on both the look and feel,
but was surprised to see the handwritten material tag stating wool and polyester.
That is how breathable, lightweight, and natural-feeling this fabric is.
I love the bold pockets placed on the thighs rather than at the waist.
While the fabric and tailoring exude a dressy atmosphere,
it also carries an active, military or safari-like mood.
So cool. A balance that makes you stop and take notice.
It features a luxurious tag from some boutique in 80s Italy that I adore.
It comes with a meticulous lining (a soft fabric, like viscose),
so there's no need to worry about anything showing through.
Please take a look at the front button fly; the texture of the fabric and the buttons is simply irresistible.
I think these stand a head above all the various vintage and old shorts out there.
Since they are deadstock, it's also a delight to be able to wear them as new from day one.
If they don't sell, I'll be spending this summer with them.
