Kurt Nielsen, a native of Denmark, was
a great silversmith who served as a silversmith for Georg Jensen from 1952 to 1961.
His eponymous brand KNDK (Kurt Nielsen Denmark) started in 1955,
while he was also active as a freelance designer for Hans Hansen and Royal Copenhagen.
From the 1980s onwards, he became an instructor at a design school, training over 1,000 silver and goldsmiths;
he was a multi-talented and energetic designer who achieved success in various fields.
Beyond his general career history, he is a man shrouded in mystery, and no matter how much I research, there is much I cannot know,
but he has since passed away, and it appears that KNDK's activities as a brand have also ended.
