Late 70s Adidas ATP

 It’s been a while since I last saw an Adidas ATP.

I used to wear these back in the day, and no matter how much time passes, they never lose their cool—it’s just plain cool.

Looking back, I regret letting it go. Haha.

This particular piece is a larger size. So many of these have inevitably shrunk over time (it’s really rare to find them in truly large sizes), but this one fits roughly like a men's L-XL. When I tried it on, my impression was that you could easily layer a hoodie underneath.

And the color of these stripes is great, isn't it? It’s a colorway you don't see very often.

It’s hard to put into words what makes these garments special, but I think they are a classic that will always look cool. Honestly, the material of vintage Adidas jerseys is so much better than anything produced today; I think that’s one of the true charms of vintage clothing.

It’s become really difficult to source these in recent years, and while I could go on and on, I’m recommending this simply because it’s a fantastic piece of clothing.

ATP stands for Association of Tennis Professionals, and these were jersey tops designed for tennis players.
