A black jacket from Actlive, a rare sub-label of Girbaud's sports technical wear.
Actlive is truly in the realm of rare finds, even among Girbaud items.
It existed only for a limited period from the 90s to the early 2000s (although it seems to have been revived in 2012 after another company acquired the license).
This is a model from the early 2000s.
There are few of these on the secondary market and very little information available, but it is an incredibly cool line that perfectly fuses the functionality of sportswear with Girbaud's design philosophy.

Based on my impressions from items I've handled and my extensive research, it seems there are many cycling-focused pieces. The logo is even an illustration of two wheels.
The previous jacket had a drawcord on only one side of the hem, and others I've seen include jackets integrated with backpacks, and so on.
Actlive is also notorious for having so many details and talking points that it's overwhelming, even for Girbaud (lol).

The material is a polyester with excellent waterproof and water-repellent properties. It is extremely light and can be crumpled up to pack very compactly.
As mentioned, the design is full of features that make me think it was intended for cycling.
Beyond the hem drawcords, there is a dedicated compartment built into the right pocket, presumably to keep a phone from falling out (it's sized for the slim phones of that era, so modern iPhones won't fit, lol).
Other features include a double-zip closure, drawcords on both sides of the hem, a stowable hood (with drawcords), cuffs that can be gathered, and zip pockets on both hips, with the right side featuring an internal divider.
Inside, there is a waist drawcord, a zippered inner pocket, and zip pockets on both hips (the right side has the divider).
Words and photos alone can't fully capture it; I'm sure you'll have an "aha!" moment when it arrives.
It is highly recommended for the upcoming rainy season and is a piece that can be enjoyed throughout the seasons.
