It's too cool—I've never seen this Armani tag before.
Based on the context, it doesn't seem to be a sample, but I don't think it was widely distributed, either.
It's made of light cotton canvas fabric; it was likely deadstock, but I have washed it once.
I personally love that it doesn't have epaulettes in this shape.
Since I had never seen this shape or tag, I asked an Armani collector living in Germany, and they mentioned there may have been niche, limited editions that Armani only sold in their Milan store at the time, and that it could possibly be one of those. Honestly, now that they mention it, that feels right.
Anyway, this jacket is something else.
The collar shape, pocket design, silhouette, and fabric are all perfect.
Highly recommended.
