Weekend Max Mara Checkered slacks with 4 pockets.
Every time I come across their archives, I fall more and more in love with Max Mara; it truly is a wonderful brand.
These are slacks from the "Weekend" line, which launched in 1983.
The three-color check in white, blue, and brown makes for such a fresh color palette.
It’s made of sturdy cotton, almost like a tablecloth fabric.
The hem has a cute, short fringe.
It conveniently comes with four pockets, front and back.
In terms of fit, there was enough room to wear them even with thick tights.

I initially didn't realize the brand and bought them thinking they were high-quality handmade pieces,
but I discovered the truth when I saw "Max Mara WEEKEND" engraved on the buttons under the flap. Haha.
The tags are all missing, but the construction is truly excellent.
I guessed 70s based on the wide silhouette and 80s based on the small details like the zipper and pocket lining,
but knowing Max Mara, it’s possible they make pieces with this exact same quality even in recent years, so the era is unknown.
Regardless, I just really love Max Mara.
There is a WEEKEND store in Prague that I occasionally peek into,
but it’s a bit tacky to say, the retail prices are high so I can’t easily get my hands on them. Haha.
