An authentic outdoor brand founded in 1981 in Sheffield, England. Since the founder himself was a climber at the time, they seem to place great importance on two key processes: understanding what is actually needed and what the purpose is.
I put it on to take photos for the first time in a while, and it is truly light and warm. Not only that, but it looks incredibly cool from every angle.
There's a drawcord at the hem, so you can cinch it for a different look, and the front pocket is double-layered with one zipper, which is a really convenient and nice feature.
Small functional details like these are so important for outerwear.
This is just as warm as a Patagonia DAS Parka, and the shape is absolutely fantastic.
Both items this time use a nylon material called Pertex. It's a high-performance nylon material from the UK that is exceptionally light and offers excellent windproofing and water repellency.
Both pieces are in a condition that shows they were loved by their previous owners. There are some signs of wear, but they are relatively clean and still in great wearable condition. The zippers move smoothly, making them perfect for town use.
Man, these really are great down jackets.
