Ramie forest green spring coat

A spring coat made of ramie material.

This is my absolute favorite find from my recent buying trip.

It’s incredibly stylish, and the design details are just top-notch.

A two-tone ramie fabric in forest green and off-white.

The beautiful, coated-like sheen paired with that deep green is stunning.

Plus, it has tortoiseshell- or leopard-print-like snap buttons on the pockets, sides, and cuffs.

I love clothes that open at the underarms with buttons or zips, so I’m thrilled about this.

The front is a fly-front design, and the closure underneath also uses snap buttons.

The zip on the shoulder is purely for design and doesn't actually open, but it looks so cool.

Also, when you pop the collar, a sweatshirt-like rib collar emerges from inside. What even is this? Regardless, it’s undeniably awesome (lol).

The pattern is very unique, and the back view is especially distinctive. It has that characteristic 80s look with sleeves and shoulders featuring large, bold seams, but the actual shoulder position sits right around the middle of that zip. Because it’s attached like a raglan, it creates a lovely, soft, rounded shoulder drop. I hope you can feel how great this design is.

By the way, is everyone familiar with the fabric "ramie"?

I didn't know anything about it, but apparently, it's often used for men's spring and summer shirts,

and it belongs to the same family of bast fibers as linen and hemp.

While it has the texture of linen, ramie is glossier, more lustrous, and has a more luxurious feel.

The fabric is so crisp and firm that I initially thought it was some kind of coated cotton.

Surprisingly, it’s been used as a fiber for over 10,000 years—even discovered in Jomon period ruins—

but it has become a highly rare fiber in recent years due to a decline in cultivation.

It has excellent moisture absorption and quick-drying properties, it's thin and cool, and it's also said to be the strongest of all natural fibers.

Because of these properties, it's mostly used for shirts, so it’s quite rare to see it used for a coat.

Since it’s only lined at the upper body and sleeves, it’s very thin and light overall, making it incredibly comfortable to wear.

I think it will be perfect to wear right up until the peak of summer.

I’ve gone on and on, but simply put, it’s a supreme piece of clothing. I love it.
