This one is just adorable.
My immediate thought was that I’d love to wear it over a swimsuit at the beach.
It's a soft, slightly lustrous yellow-orange VISCOSE.
It has that signature soft, drapey, and slightly moist feel to the fabric.
My husband found this one for me, and while I often see clothing from this era made of similar materials,
this is one that really stood out to me among the countless pieces I’ve seen.
It’s a wonderful piece with so many details to talk about:
first, the shoulder pads with the gathered, crinkled fabric,
followed by the tailored jacket-style lapels,
a soft double-breasted design at the waist,
and below that, a pleated, inverted-triangle ruffle hem.
The front features three layered flaps that look a bit like a loincloth, which flutter and are just so cute.
"Loincloth" might be a terrible analogy, but either way, it's adorable.
The back of the waist belt is elastic, so it fits the wearer's waist perfectly,
and the silhouette is absolutely beautiful!
The asymmetrical balance when you leave the front open and throw it on is also really great.
