My absolute favorite silk shirt.
My husband bought it for me in Paris.
This silk shirt has a work jacket-like vibe. It's incredible. It has such a seductive quality.
It’s got that cool, effortless charm of a French chore jacket worn casually. But I also love that it's properly tailored for women.
The slightly worn-in look of the silk is wonderful, too. And the white stitching on the navy blue is just brilliant.
The cool brass and iron metal buttons are fantastic. There are buttons on the pockets, too.
Below the three metal buttons is a fly front, making it look like a grandpa shirt at first glance.
I just love this French work-inspired piece done in silk so much. I keep thinking about how unique and hard to find something like this is.
The previous owner clearly loved it too (I'm sure of it), as there are a few marks on the back and shoulders, but that's just the beauty of old silk—it turns those marks into character.
Silk often has a delicate, ennui-filled image, but I adore how this shirt goes in the complete opposite direction.
I want to throw it on casually like a light jacket.
