A nylon jacket from Stone Island's SS 2001 launch.
The color is a beautiful Bordeaux. This shade is truly excellent.
Also, the balance between the width and the length is just perfect.
The hood is a storable design, and it looks great whether you leave it out or tuck it away.
I personally prefer wearing it with the hood out for a more casual look. I especially love the front detailing that allows you to fasten it high up—it really appeals to the masculine aesthetic. Haha.
The lining features Stone Island’s signature polyurethane coating; it has peeled off due to age and wear, but this is unavoidable with these pieces, so I ask for your understanding.
All of my own Stone Island pieces are like this too.
This is a jacket that really comes in handy during the upcoming rainy season. I often find myself wanting to wear Stone Island or C.P. Company on rainy days—not just because they're functional and easy to move in, but also because they aren't too thick, so they're just right.
While vintage Stone Island and C.P. Company are expensive items, I don't want you to treat them with kid gloves; I want you to wear them tough and use them daily.
They were originally conceived as sportswear, so their durability is top-notch.
Throw it over your favorite T-shirt and head out.
