Swedish military snow parka
A Swedish military snow camo parka.
Although designed as snow camo for soldiers to wear in snowy mountains,
this ice-gray shade—not a stark white—is unique to the Swedish military.
Against the crisp, high-quality gray cotton poplin,
it features their trademark large white buttons and white stitching.
Looking at it again, it’s a sophisticated piece of clothing that you wouldn't even think was military at first glance.
It is made to be very roomy to be worn as an over-layer,
so whether worn loose and oversized by a woman or by a large-framed man, it looks great on everyone.
The fabric is a thin yet durable, high-quality cotton poplin with a nice crispness.
It is light enough to throw on even in summer if you want to avoid a sunburn.
Due to its original purpose, you can also layer thick items underneath to use it as a winter outer.
Throwing it on over everything in winter looks very cool.
While many snow parkas have pass-through pockets to access the clothing underneath,
a major appeal of this Swedish military version is that it features these large, independent pockets.
The large pockets and the three buttons on the flaps are a signature trademark.
Unlike khaki or camo, white snow military gear is easy to incorporate into everyday outfits,
